Steve's love for scenic photography started when he began taking trips to Yosemite, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, and other U.S. National Parks. Steve often brought his wolf-dog along on his camping and mountaineering activities, where his dog eventually became well accustomed to outdoor life.
In 1993, Steve's wolf-dog landed the leading role in Disney's White Fang 2: Myth Of The White Wolf. Steve was so enthusiastic about filming that he formed a production company called White Fang Productions, where he discovered the art of landscape photography from a former assistant to Ansel Adams. Before long, Steve also learned the use of movie cameras, cinematography, and filming on location.
A year later, Steve began his own freelance commercial photography business providing independent contractor services to on-location shoots involving principle photography of models, products, scenic landscapes, and studio portraiture using medium-format cameras. During this time, Steve successfully completed the Certified Professional Photographer's Degree Examination required for membership in the Professional Photographer's Association (PPA).
Beginning in 1999, Steve produced/co-hosted an internet-based talk show on outdoor adventures. The program's travels led him to a variety of locations, which often provided additional opportunities for great outdoor photography. A native of Southern California, Steve currently lives with his wife in Anaheim where he spends his spare time traveling around the Southwest and capturing beautiful landscape scenery on film.
